Armstrong X-Wing Performance
Proven Performance, Evolved.
The X-Wing Performance sits above the XPS as Armstrong’s next step in high-performance wing design, delivering lighter handling, refined power and effortless speed for riders pushing into faster, more efficient riding.
Ideal For
• Freeride • Freerace • Powered riding
Inclusions
Wing, carrying bag and wrist leash
Dyna-Link boom sold separately (Small, Medium or Large)

High Aspect Airframe • Efficiency, Refined
A refined high aspect geometry delivers increased efficiency, smoother forward drive, and composed handling at speed. The X-Wing feels reactive and intuitive in hand while maintaining excellent control across a broad wind range.

Technology • Dyna-Link Locking Boom System
Dyna-Link is a simple locking boom system for the X-Wing Performance. It allows you to assemble quickly and easily with zero hardware, and is ultra solid in flight.

Advanced Laminate Composite • Lightweight Strength
Built using ULTRA-PE X-PLY – Advanced Laminate Composite material, the X-Wing balances lightweight handling with exceptional tension control and durability. Low-stretch fibres and protected laminate layers reduce distortion under sustained load for a crisp, efficient feel.

Dual-Tech Canopy • Controlled Power
The XPS canopy layout and longitudinal span panels work together to manage load distribution and maintain canopy tension where it matters most. The result is cleaner power delivery, greater stability, and efficient performance when fully lit.
KEY FEATURES

HIGHLIGHTS
Power That Feels Natural
Built for riders who want to push their riding further, the X-Wing delivers increased forward drive with smooth, controlled power delivery. It generates speed efficiently while maintaining a predictable, composed feel, giving riders the confidence to ride harder and faster.
Rather than aggressive or overpowering, the power builds progressively, creating a natural connection between rider and wing.
Light Where It Matters. Strong Where It Counts
At under 2 kg, the X Wing feels noticeably lighter in hand, particularly in larger sizes where weight savings make the biggest difference.
The advanced material construction balances lightweight handling with long term durability, delivering a wing that feels responsive in motion while remaining strong under load.
Efficiency First
The higher aspect design and refined airframe improve glide, reduce drag, and make generating apparent wind more effortless. Transitions feel smoother, maneuvers feel lighter, and the wing maintains speed with less input.
In the 12 to 18 knot range, the efficiency really comes to life, offering a fast, fluid riding experience with minimal effort.
Stable, Controlled Power
The canopy is engineered to handle increased loads with minimal distortion, delivering clean release and consistent drive.
While the higher aspect ratio enhances efficiency, it also brings a more reactive feel at higher speeds. Riders looking for maximum stability in strong wind may still prefer the XPS MKII, while the X-Wing excels when efficiency and performance are the priority.
Visibility and Setup
Four compact windows improve visibility into blind spots, adding confidence in busy conditions.
Following the Dyna Link system, the X-Wing is offered in a boom only configuration, allowing riders to customize their setup.
Positioning
Sitting above the XPS in the range, the X-Wing Performance is built for riders prioritising speed, efficiency, and refined power delivery.
It is not a replacement, but a progression. A higher performance option for when conditions and riding style demand more.
X-WING OR XPS MKII?
Armstrong positions the X-Wing above the XPS MKII as a progression, not a replacement.
