Review: 2020 Cabrinha Wing Surfer 4.0

TJ: So the new handheld wings are the rage.
We’ve seen the Naish Wing Surfer, the Duotone Wing Foil, the Slingshot Sling Wing and now we’ve got the updated Cabrinha Crosswing. Cabrinha’s offering a 4.0 meter – just one size at the moment – with some updates from the one we checked out last May at the dealer meeting.
First there’s a different entry profile here at the leading edge. They’re using their high tenacity dacron so it’s wicked stiff. They’ve implemented their new Nano material for the canopy, which stiffens it up, and gives it more durability. It looks really nice too.
They’ve eliminated a bunch of the handles and gone to one stiff handled on the leading edge. And likewise, they’ve thought out the placement of the handles along the strut here — minimizing it to just four handles.
A lot of folks here in the Gorge are adding a line between two handles so in the case they want to relax and hook into a harness they can do so.
I would say the Cabrinha Crosswing is one of the more lightweight and compact wings we’ve had at Big Winds thus far.
The Crosswing comes complete with this little stuff sack so you can see it packs down really nicely. And inside the stuff sack there’s a really nice pouch here – and you get your wrist leash as well.
For $799 we’ve only got two of these at the moment. Get one before they are gone.
And if you need a pump let us know. We’ve got pumps we can supply you. It just takes the standard Cabrinha pump that all the kites use. So it’s a one pump system. They use their slick Sprint system to integrate into the leading edge and strut.
So here you go: The 2020 Cabrinha Cross Wing 4.0 meter for $799. Get ‘em while they last and get your wing on!
