What does this Gorge graphic mean?
Banzai 12.
Pro Carbon.
World Cup Performance Wave.
The fastest, most reactive, and razor precise wave sail built for advanced wave riders demanding maximum control, tighter rotations, cleaner release, and immediate acceleration under pressure. Its lightweight 4-batten platform, refined twist, lowered draft, and slightly lower clew create a more settled, neutral, and connected feel when powered. Power when driven. Invisible when released. WWT and PWA World Cup approved.

DESCRIPTION
Banzai 12 Pro Carbon evolves toward greater control, cleaner release, and increased neutrality while maintaining its signature reactive feel. New foot outlines and lowered draft positioning lock power closer to the rider for improved control, cleaner rotation, and a more balanced stance. A unified twist profile creates smoother load distribution, improved stability, lighter rotational feel, and reduced swing weight through aerial maneuvers. Banzai 12 Pro Carbon extends usable range without muting the sail’s reactive character. It stays composed when powered while preserving fluid response and maneuver-oriented freedom. Pro Carbon is the pinnacle performance build way within the Goya range. Developed for riders seeking the highest level of responsiveness, shape integrity, reflex response, and control under load. Premium carbon laminates preserve the designed profile deeper into powered and demanding conditions, delivering faster response, cleaner release, and exceptional composure when performance matters most.
CONSTRUCTION
What began as targeted carbon reinforcement evolved into a complete structural philosophy centered around reflex response, load retention, and precision under pressure. Ultra-high-grade carbon laminates minimize elongation and maximize reflex response. Carbon stabilizes the sail profile while preserving immediate energy transfer and crisp release under load. Body Panels. X-Ply Carbon 1.5 mil Ultra low stretch linear Warp Carbon fiber laminate yarns arrayed to control load lines in the sail combined with super strong Technora Aramid X-Ply. Refined material orientation improves reflex response and energy transfer while maintaining composure through gusts, transitions, and extended use. Durability is built into the structure through carbon X-Ply body panels, reinforced foot materials, protected seams, and carefully controlled load paths. The goal is long-term confidence in handling, structure, and consistent performance. X-Ply Carbon also effectively prevents tears from traveling. Foot panels. 2.0 mil Warp Carbon film combined with super strong Technora aramid X-Ply yarns for increased puncture resistance. Warp Carbon / Aramid minimizes stretch and help maintain sail shape in this critical high-load area. An additional carbon strip below the foot batten further stabilizes the foot panel under load. Nylon pulley rolls reduce weight and friction. The result is lighter handling, cleaner acceleration, increased stability, and a highly connected feel between rider, sail, and wave. Window Panels. 6 mil Bi-Ply from Dimension-Polyant uses dual PET film layers for improved flex, softer feel, and reduced creasing. Integrated UV inhibitors significantly increase longevity compared to traditional monofilm.
HIGHLIGHTS
Feeling.
Speed.
Agility.
The sail remains alive in the rider’s hands — responsive when engaged, calm and neutral when released.

Outline
The Banzai 12 Pro Carbon features a larger foot outline and a lower clew, keeping the sail anchored around the rider for increased control and stability. A reduced head outline lightens the sail in the hands, enhancing its neutral, effortless feel through every turn. The lightweight 4-batten layout keeps the sail fast, reactive, and highly maneuverable while maintaining impressive stability and usable range across changing conditions.

Stretch Control
Carbon Radial Stretch Control further enhances stability, reflex response, and range by integrating low-stretch carbon tendons into the sail structure. The result is a more connected and precise feel with improved load retention and cleaner energy transfer.

CNC Battens
Lightweight, CAD shaped, CNC machined, ultra durable, custom thickness and tailored taper battens. Adding structural perfection to the material sophistication of our film panels.

Circular Leech
The Circular Leech Outline concept delivers additional power, especially in the larger sizes where efficient drive is critical. Increased chord length through the midsection creates more usable power while avoiding excessive boom length, head size, or foot area. The result is a sail that combines strong low-end performance and range with a lighter, smaller feel in the hands during powered sailing and maneuvers.

DETAILS
The details are not the details. They make the design.
Ripstop Mast Sleeve.
Our proprietary custom mast sleeve material features ultra-strong horizontal ripstop fibers that help prevent tears from spreading in the event of a mast breakage. This helps protect the sail, reduces damage, and increases the likelihood of the sail remaining repairable and usable. The sleeve is double stitched to the sail, creating an exceptionally strong connection and enhancing overall durability.
Tack Fairing.
Molded and stitched, this ultra durable tack fairing offers protection for your board and feet, aerodynamics around your extension and a place to store your downhaul rope. Made from abrasion resistant textile, it even protects itself.
Folded Sleeve Edge.
Along the rear edges of the mast sleeve, preventing fraying and premature wear and tear.
Sleeve Opener.
At the top of the boom cut out. Makes sliding the mast into the sleeve that much more quick and easy.
Anti-Chafe Batten Ends.
Protecting the batten pocket leech ends of your sail when rigging on rough surfaces.
Tack Stitch Protection.
Safeguarding the tack area of your sail against stitch breaking from rough board textures.
Hanging Loop.
Lets you hang your sail to dry, or tie a rope, or stick a screwdriver to pull the mast when derigging.
Soft Foot Piping.
Protecting your shins during tweaked maneuvers on wave sails, and your sail against the board deck on flatwater sails.
6:1 Stainless Pulley.
Using all three rolls for an optimized power ratio.
USA Made Films.
All films on all Goya Windsurfing sails are made by Dimension-Polyant in the USA to our rigerous quality standards.
