FM+ 650 BATTERY

The “go to” battery for the Gen2.5 MAX+ and Fusion.

The FM+ 650 Battery sits at the intersection of runtime, weight and cost, and is the go-to option for Gen2.5 Fusion and MAX+ units. With 648Wh of capacity, Foil Drive’s 43V architecture delivers powerful, consistent thrust and endurance for extended surf sessions, upwind/downwind runs, wake riding, pumping, flatwater starts and light e-foiling.

Cross-compatible: it is the highest-capacity battery for the MAX+, and gives Fusion riders a lighter, more manoeuvrable “sport” option (Fusion requires the FM+ Battery Adaptor). Gen2.5 battery technology delivers full power down to roughly 10% before normal sag. Charges on the 43V charger supplied with Fusion or MAX+ in about 85 minutes, with Storage Mode for long-term health.

One-piece molded battery and integrated nose cone for sealing, water flow, durability and balanced weight over the foil’s centre of lift. The Intelligent Bluetooth BMS reports battery naming, health and state of charge to the V3 Controller and Foil Drive App. Not compatible with the Gen 2 (40V) MAX unit.

A lighter ride for Fusion riders

Swapping the Fusion 860 for the FM+ 650 takes 950 g (2.1 lbs) off your setup (7.13 kg | 15.71 lbs installed versus 8.08 kg | 17.81 lbs), so you can turn harder and faster. Choosing a battery is all about weight versus runtime: the 860 gives the longest runtime, the 650 the more responsive feel.

Average runtime on a Fusion: e-foil intermediate ~29 min, e-foil advanced ~48 min, surf intermediate ~40-50 min, surf advanced ~55-70 min.
