What does this Gorge graphic mean?

The Shield is your essential gear for mastering the art of foiling, allowing you to embrace the elements with unmatched precision and performance.
Designed to shield you from the impact of the foil and the foil mast, the Shield wetsuits are meticulously engineered to elevate your foiling experience to new heights. Extra reinforcements in the shield zones provide added protection against various impacts. The Airflex 550+ outside lining ensures stretch and durability.
Shield Zones
Shoulder: the right shoulder is extra protected with fluid neoprene on the outside and additional memory padding on the inside.
Underarms: underarms between the wrist and elbow, prone to wear, are shielded with a special lining to provide protection against wear and tear.
Knees: the entire knee area is safeguarded with an armored KED kneepad, offering protection against impacts.
Shinbone: the entire shinbone area is fortified with an armored layer, shielding against cuts and sharp objects.
NaturePrene2®
100% neoprene free
This is a revolutionary moment in wetsuit industry. From now on all our wetsuits will be 100% neoprene free and FSC and CE approved.
NaturePrene2® is a biobased rubber derived from FSC-certified rubber trees. With NaturePrene2®, you’ll enjoy the same stretch, warmth, insulation, and durability as our current lineup, all without compromising on cost.

Down AirFlex
Water-repellent and dry-wicking with the feel of down and the maximum stretch of our AirFlex neoprene, this unique material is featured on our Predator and Flare wetsuits. The SoftFeel, combined with the Velvet AirFlex2 lining, provides an unparalleled blend of comfort and performance.

GBS Seams
Triple glued panels are stitched together with a special stitching method. Partially puncturing the neoprene to keep the water tightness of the wetsuit seam. Each thread is protected by a tape at the end. Our perfect finish makes our glued and blind stitched wetsuit indestructible. Precise seam and material placement for a tailored fit. Designed to fit your body without over-stretching the neoprene, which prevents stretched out thin neoprene and loss of thermal insulation.

Zodiac 2 with Velvet Airflex
Zodic Jacquard velvet fleece on the inside, layered with a quick dry thermal fleece for more warmth and comfort. It absorbs the water from the skin, releases quickly and increases comfort. Velvet Airflex is softer than ever before, more stretch, comfortable feel and quickdry. Another milestone in wetsuit technology. Clearly recognizable because of the feel… smooth as velvet.

Free-X
Introducing the Free-X zipper featuring an asymmetrical YKK design that opens on one side, ensuring optimal warmth and comfort. This innovative zipper provides a secure fit while allowing for effortless entry and exit, enhancing your overall wetsuit experience.

100% Neoprene Free Material
From Petrol chemicals base to Limestone neoprene (mining mountains) to NaturePrene and now introducing NaturePrene 2 completely made with Natural Rubber harvested from FSC certified rubber tree plantations. USDA-certified and 80% natural rubber, 20% recycled carbon black and enriched with Oystershell powder and Soybean oil.

Water Based Glue
The laminated neoprene sheets are cut into panels and put together to create a neoprene product such as a wetsuit. The lamination of all our wetsuits is done with water based glue, so called aqua-a. Unlike the traditional glue, the water based glue is solvent free and without chemicals (it removes 99% of the impurities). This avoids latex allergies. Don’t worry! Of course the glue will not dissolve in water. We made sure that the glue is as strong as the traditional glue.

PAH, ROHS AND REACH COMPLIANT
Our wetsuits are PAH (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) free and 100% reach compliant. Reach compliant means we have achieved to ban the use of extender oils in our neoprene sheets for a better znvironment. REACH is a
regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the  protection of human health and the environment from risks that can be posed by chemicals in the production process.
The PAH neutral neoprene has improved characteristics such as weight and stretch, and it also prevents skin irritation. We banned the use of extender oils in our neoprene which is better for your skin and nature.

DOPE DYED YARNS
Before lamination we need to prepare lining fabrics. Prolimit uses the dope-dyeing process. This means that we don’t dye the fabric in our production process anymore. The traditional way of coloring has a high water consumption, using a lot of energy and producing a large amount of industrial waste water and toxic chemicals. Instead of the traditional and common way, we use the method of dope dyed yarns. Dope dyeing is an energy saving and a more environmental-friendly
method. Dope dyed yarns are made by adding colorant to the polymer melt in spinning. In short, we add the color before spinning. With this procedure in which we color the yarn without the dyeing process, we save 104L of water per kg of fabric. The advantages of dope dyeing are in line with our goal to produce products with respect for our planet.

The Forest Stewardship Council monitors and confirms that specific forest areas are being managed inline with the FSC principles and criteria.

Soybean Oil
One of the components to create NaturePrene2, the Soybean oil is edible oil extracted from  soybean seeds. This is a 100% plantbased oil.

OYSTER SHELL POWDER
Harvested from scrap oystershell washed ashore the powder is an important enriching component for the blend in our Nature-Prene 2 rubber.

Eco Carbon Black
Carbon Black is a key ingredient to produce neoprene. Our eco carbon black is made from recycled tires. The tires are shredded and thereafter transformed into powdered carbon black. Unlike the traditional carbon black,
this method reduces the energy consumption and the CO2 emission by 200g per wetsuit.
