What are “Powerbox Forward” and “NUUS” fins? Scroll down.
Our latest Freewave fin draws on a straighter leading edge to boost planing, and a squared tip to reduce drag. A thinner profile improves flex to improve control. Increased tip rake in the 21/23/25 cm sizes enhances maneuverability, while a more upright rake profile in the larger sizes prioritizes early planing, and upwind ability for larger freewave and freeride boards. G-10 construction.
“Powerbox Forward” and “NUUS” Fins

Powerbox Forward Fin
Board makers have long faced a dilemma: Place a Powerbox fin exactly where they want it, and by doing so, risk the fin bolt being blocked by the foot strap … or … place the fin just aft of their desired location, compromise performance slightly, but allow easy access to the fin bolt. The new “Forward” design means no compromises. The fin bolt is easy to access from the deck; the fin itself resides exactly where board makers intended.

NUUS Fin
The “NUUS” fin box is an inexplicably cryptic term. It simply denotes that the fin will work with US fin boxes and, with minor DIY modifications, Slot Box fin systems. For Slot Box systems, users must saw off the tab at the forward base of the fin. Then they must remove metal roll pin at the rear of the fin base.
