“Volar” means to fly in Spanish and, for years, our challenge has been making this board line live up to its namesake with effortless acceleration in each gust. Friendly and stable for intermediates, yet fast and responsive for the experienced, the Volar Carbon casts a wide net. A board that’s good for now, and next, and for those of varied abilities who share one board. With thin profile rails, the Volar carbon offers immense control, giving riders confidence to push their limit in jibes, and beyond.
Each Volar Carbon size was uniquely crafted to align with the conditions it would be used in. Large models like the 130 and 145 are proportionally wider and longer to enhance stability and planing power in light winds. Smaller sizes like the 120, 110, and 100 have a smoother bottom shape to enhance control in higher winds.
WHAT’S NEW FOR 2022/23 VOLAR CARBON
BIGGER WIND RANGE
New Volar Carbon models plane in less wind, and maintain control in high winds, better than their predecessors thanks to lessons learned from our Proton Pro race board. We moved the volume flow farther aft, minimizing overall length, and keeping the rails more parallel further back. Most importantly, we modified the rocker and flat spot to adjust the initial entry and overall control of the board. The end result is immense wind range.
MORE STABLE, MORE VERSATILE
Goya Volar Carbon models offer a stable platform for schlogging and, in larger models, uphauling. The boards include three levels of inboard to outboard front foot strap settings. Opt for inboard settings for dialing in foot straps usage to ease entry. Opt for outboard settings for more leverage and speed. The Volar Carbon also offers a single and double foot strap setting on the tail. These options ensure riders of all abilities get the most out of their Goya Volar Carbon.
BETTER JIBING
We’ve been especially proud of the Goya Volar’s jibing prowess over the years, thanks in part to its thin profile rails. The carving sensation is precise, welcoming, and inspires confidence. For the 2022/23 Volar Carbon, shape refinements have enhanced entry into jibes as well as exit speed out of them. But don’t worry, the new Volar Carbon will continue lead any drag race. We’re just certain you’ll be smiling even bigger when it comes time to turn around.

Yes, we have shipped to these locations for decades by quote. Please share your address, the item(s) you needed shipped, and if an airport cargo depot pickup is possible.
Canada and International Locations?
We ship to Canada lots, and the Caribbean some. Get a quote. We rarely ship items to Europe, Asia, and Australia as it's spendy. Quotes for international orders do not include import duties.
How Can I Be Sure My Board Arrives Intact?

What if My Board Arrives Damaged?
We'll work with our shipping partner to get you a repair credit or a replacement board. Please send photos of the damaged board (and box) to shipping@bigwinds.com.

But no foot straps, fins, or vent plug?
Look closely through the packaging. Fins, foot straps and vent plugs are often concealed in a sheath of cardboard that's easy to discard. Also, check inside the board box, and shake the box to be sure. You'll likely dislodge a small box containing the missing items.

We'll work with freight partners for the lowest possible rate. Delivery time is 7-10 business days. Quotes typically land in the $350 - $500 range, though Big Winds will often cover a portion of this fee. Get a quote.
International Board Delivery
Board shipping rates for most international destinations are extremely pricey. But we can ship boards to Canada for as low as $275 plus duties and taxes. We can also stow your board for an upcoming Gorge visit, and help with a board bag and packing materials to ensure it flies home with you safely.
