What does this Gorge graphic mean?
Banzai Surf 2 X Pro
World Cup Surf Wave.
A neutral, flowing, and maneuver driven wave sail built for riders seeking effortless flow, clean depower, and tight surf-style arcs, the Banzai Surf 2 X Pro is designed to disappear in the turn and stay out of the rider’s way. The Banzai Surf 2 X Pro sits at the maneuver-oriented end of the Banzai wave range, prioritizing drift, neutrality, release, and freedom on the wave. With a full X-Ply build, when maximum window-area protection matters most. Best for down-the-line wave sailing, surf-style riding, and riders prioritizing turning feel over straight-line speed. Draw your own lines. Maximum protection. WWT and PWA World Cup approved.

DESCRIPTION
A shorter boom, lower clew, and lower centered lift keep the sail anchored close to the rider for maximum control and maneuverability.
Surf 2 X Pro carries a slightly higher aspect ratio and more compact handling character, creating lighter rotational feel and tighter surf-style arcs.
Updated twist improves top-end smoothness while maintaining immediate release and clean depower through critical turns.
The result is effortless flow, neutral handling, and maximum freedom on the wave.
CONSTRUCTION
X Pro is built identically to the Pro version, but replaces the main window panel with full X-Ply construction. Designed for riders prioritizing maximum durability in high-impact or remote sailing environments, X Pro eliminates exposed monofilm or Bi-Ply panels entirely. Choose X Pro when maximum window-area protection is the priority.
Body Panels. The new X-Ply body panels increase stability, precision, quickness, and long-term durability throughout the entire Banzai range. Refined panel layout and material orientation improve energy transfer and reflex response, creating a cleaner and more immediate connection between wind, sail, and rider. The result is improved reflex, cleaner energy transfer, and a more composed feel through gusts, transitions, and extended use. X-Ply also effectively prevents tears from traveling. Material selection and load distribution are engineered not only for performance, but for maintaining that performance over extended use. Durability is built into the structure, not added as an afterthought—through X-Ply body panels, reinforced foot materials, protected seams, and carefully controlled load paths. The goal is long-term confidence — in handling, structure, and consistent performance across demanding conditions and extended use.
Foot Panels. Mega Thread X-Ply foot panels utilize a dense network of X-Ply yarns and durable 6 mil laminate film to increase structural stability, resist deformation, and provide exceptional puncture durability. Maximum protection. Maximum confidence.
Window Panels. 6 mil Dimension-Polyant X-Ply with black Spectra yarns delivers exceptional stretch resistance and tear strength. Black yarns minimize reflections and visual distraction for the clearest possible view through the sail.
Black Window Frame. The black window frame minimizes reflections and distractions for the clearest possible vision through the sail. Form follows function, and it has become a defining and unifying visual element across the range.
HIGHLIGHTS
Feeling.
The Banzai Surf 2 X Pro delivers the lightest and most neutral feel in the Banzai range.
Centered lift keeps the sail balanced and predictable while remaining easy to place and adjust through every turn.
Speed.
Easy acceleration and efficient drive make it simple to move around the break and find the best position on the wave. The Banzai Surf 2 X Pro carries speed naturally through turns and transitions, helping maintain flow from section to section.
Agility.
Quick acceleration on demand allows instant positioning on the wave while maintaining effortless flow and maneuver freedom.

Outline
The compact outline, lower clew, and neutral lift create effortless maneuverability, lighter handling, and flowing surf-style freedom through every turn.
The lightweight 4-batten layout keeps the sail fast, reactive, and highly maneuverable while maintaining impressive stability and usable range across changing conditions.

Stretch Control
Radial Stretch Control significantly increases sail stability and range by keeping the lower section full and powerful, the mid-section locked and stable, and the upper section free to twist efficiently. The result is a sail that feels exceptionally light in the hands, balanced, and comfortable across a wide wind range. Radial Stretch Control tendons minimize stretch, distribute loads efficiently, and allow for the lightest and most effective reinforcement layout possible.

CNC Battens
Lightweight, CAD shaped, CNC machined, ultra durable, custom thickness and tailored taper battens. Adding structural perfection to the material sophistication of our film panels.

Ripstop Sleeve
Our proprietary custom mast sleeve material features ultra-strong horizontal ripstop fibers that help prevent tears from spreading in the event of a mast breakage. This helps protect the sail, reduces damage, and increases the likelihood of the sail remaining repairable and usable. The sleeve is double stitched to the sail, creating an exceptionally strong connection and enhancing overall durability.

Poly Clew System
The Poly Clew System allows riders to fine-tune power, control, and maneuverability without changing sail size.
DETAILS
The details are not the details. They make the design.
Tack Fairing.
Molded and stitched, this ultra durable tack fairing offers protection for your board and feet, aerodynamics around your extension and a place to store your downhaul rope. Made from abrasion resistant textile, it even protects itself.
Folded Sleeve Edge.
Along the rear edges of the mast sleeve, preventing fraying and premature wear and tear.
Sleeve Opener.
At the top of the boom cut out. Makes sliding the mast into the sleeve that much more quick and easy.
Anti-Chafe Batten Ends.
Protecting the batten pocket leech ends of your sail when rigging on rough surfaces.
Tack Stitch Protection.
Safeguarding the tack area of your sail against stitch breaking from rough board textures.
Hanging Loop.
Lets you hang your sail to dry, or tie a rope, or stick a screwdriver to pull the mast when derigging.
Soft Foot Piping.
Protecting your shins during tweaked maneuvers on wave sails, and your sail against the board deck on flatwater sails.
6:1 Stainless Pulley.
Using all three rolls for an optimized power ratio.
