What’s Wing “Surfing?”
Winging on boards with fins, not foils. Riding fins allows newcomers to focus exclusively on wing handling skills vital for progression.
Best Time to Secure Gear?
11:15 am and 2:15 pm
Why Such Specific Times?
This gear’s first priority is to our school. Once 11 am and 2 pm classes hit the water, the gear that’s leftover is available for rent.
What’s Included
One board of 165-260 liters with a fin (not a foil)
One wing from 2.5 -6.0 meters, and wrist leash
Wetsuit, booties, PFD and helmet
Where You Ride
The interior of The Hook, which is an enclosed lagoon that’s ideal for progression.
BEGINNER WING FOILING GEAR RENTALS
*Available only to lesson customers signed off by an instructor*

How do I get signed off?
Sign up for a “Take Flight” beginner foil lesson. If your instructor deems you ready for self practice, you’re given a three time punch card for first-come-first-serve rentals valid for the summer, hourly rates apply.

One foil board of 105-155 liters
One alloy foil kit with 1250-2450 front wing
One inflatable wing from 2.5 -6.0 meters, and wrist leash
Wetsuit, booties, PFD and helmet
Where You Ride
The Hook’s exterior sandbar, a friendly protected area ideal for progression.

Where You Ride
The interior of The Hook is a sheltered lagoon that’s excellent for learning basics. For intermediates, The Hook’s outside sandbar is perfect for dialing in beach and water starts, harness and foot straps.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Rental Gear for Kids?
Yes, small, lightweight gear, wetsuits, PFDs and booties that are not needed for lessons are available for rent for riders ages 7 and up with adult supervision.
With No Reservations, How Can I Be Sure to Get Gear?
Sign up for a lesson. Lessons are two hours, guarantee gear, expert instruction, and progression.
Classes are small (3 person max), and go far in ensuring a great day of Gorge Fun!
Why the Punch Card for Foil Rentals?
Availability and liability. Wing foiling lessons have priority over our limited foil fleet.
Our instructors are the best equipped to determine if riders can practice independently with foiling gear.

There’s Nobody Here at The Hook? What Gives?
Hook hours of operation are wind dependent. If the wind no shows at lesson startup times (11 am, 2 pm), lessons and gear rentals are cancelled.
