KT NOMAD SERIES OVERVIEW

Dynamic control, exceptional speed range, and adapt-able performance across all conditions. The Nomad series is designed to unlock intuitive handling and control over an exceptionally wide range of speeds and conditions. Ideal for quickly progressing intermediate to advanced wing and surf foilers, it’s also a must-have for any level of prone, wake, or kite foiler. With a swept mid-aspect ratio design, the Nomad seamlessly flies and carves with an agile yet predict-able feel. Its unique high camber foil section enhances early takeoff, pumping, and low-speed handling, while offering steady resistance to stalling. The compact span and inflected wingtips also offer noticeable resistance to ventilation during breaching carves and turns.

OUR TAKE

The Nomad is a carving all-around foil.  Great for smaller waves, beach break, or just staying in the pocket.  If you want to progress on new winging moves, the Nomad provides a very stable, reliable, and intuitive feel.  With more sweep in the leading edge than the Atlas, the Nomad excels in that surfy feel in the turn.

With a slightly lower aspect ratio than the Atlas, the Nomad is still considered a high aspect wing at around 9 AR.  Larger sizes in the Nomad range would be ideal for the intermediate winger looking to advance to the next step in their progression (ie jibes and tacks).

The G-10 tails can be mixed and matched as well, for example…if you are looking for more glide in your Nomad front wing, try the Atlas tail.  The shims are included that allow for consistent tuning by adding the number on the front wing and mast.

The alloy fuse is offered in two sizes, the shorter 56cm is great for surf/wake foiling, or loosening up a big front wing.  The longer 63cm fuse is ultra pitch stable and easier to ride.  The 63cm fuse has become our standard issue, go-to length for winging here in the Gorge.

SPECIFICATIONS

Due to the Nomad’s unique high camber profile, early lift, and stall resistance, we recommend sizing down 10-20% compared to other foils on the market.
