It has been said before and has to be pointed out again: The Freestyle Wave concept is the ideal option for 99% of coastal-sailing recreational windsurfers. If you are not sure which board line would suit you best, then you don’t need to look any further. The Freestyle wave offers so many tuning options that it can be set up perfectly for any given day, no matter what the conditions. It’s an ideal all-round high wind board for both, blasting and bump&jump sailing. It also shines as a powerful, all-round wave board for lighter winds, heavier sailors or difficult conditions and then is great fun especially for huge jumps and fast carves in side to side onshore conditions.
The direct feel derives from the reduced swing weight of the short, compact shape. The outline is parallel in the mid-section which offers a long straight area for early planing and stability. The tail is relatively narrow to maintain control on fast runs over choppy water. The FSW is agile, quick to respond and its rails bite hard into small waves without getting stuck.
The domed deck grants a comfortable stance for all foot strap positions. The deck shape also provides perfect board control and excellent responsiveness.
Ready for foil action! All LXT sizes come with JP’s reinforced Foil-Powerbox – even the small FSW 79 which probably makes it the smallest board for foiling on the market. This box widens the total wind range and opens the option for this new discipline of ‘flying’.

Reinforced, stronger box construction for Foil-Tuttlebox & Foil-Powerbox
Foil-Tuttlebox: big recess on the deck and big washers: The 2020 Foil-Tuttlebox boards came with a big recess and washer only for the rear Tuttlebox screw. For 2021, all Tuttle Foil boards feature boxes with 40 mm recess (front and back hole) and a 35 mm washer for extra support and to spread the force while foiling and for better handling.
Foil-Powerbox: Now, the Freestyle PRO, Freestyle Wave LXT and Magic Ride LXT also feature JP’s reinforced Foil-Powerbox! The fin screw diameter is 6 mm. Drill the Powerbox hole to 8mm so that it fits NP’s Powerbox Foil screw.

It can take 48 hours for tracking info to display. Rest assured, your package is en route. Make sure to enter the BOL # (Bill of Lading) with no spaces in the tracking field.
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico?
Yes, we have shipped to these locations for decades by quote. Please share your address, the item(s) you needed shipped, and if an airport cargo depot pickup is possible.
Canada and International Locations?
We ship to Canada lots, and the Caribbean some. Get a quote. We rarely ship items to Europe, Asia, and Australia as it's spendy. Quotes for international orders do not include import duties.
How Can I Be Sure My Board Arrives Intact?

What if My Board Arrives Damaged?
We'll work with our shipping partner to get you a repair credit or a replacement board. Please send photos of the damaged board (and box) to shipping@bigwinds.com.

But no foot straps, fins, or vent plug?
Look closely through the packaging. Fins, foot straps and vent plugs are often concealed in a sheath of cardboard that's easy to discard. Also, check inside the board box, and shake the box to be sure. You'll likely dislodge a small box containing the missing items.

We'll work with freight partners for the lowest possible rate. Delivery time is 7-10 business days. Quotes typically land in the $350 - $500 range, though Big Winds will often cover a portion of this fee. Get a quote.
International Board Delivery
Board shipping rates for most international destinations are extremely pricey. But we can ship boards to Canada for as low as $275 plus duties and taxes. We can also stow your board for an upcoming Gorge visit, and help with a board bag and packing materials to ensure it flies home with you safely.
