The Volar Club has an increased range on the front footstraps allowing you to go from a more inboard position in the early stages to a more outboard position as you progress. All Volar constructions also have a single back footstrap option giving you the most range and versatility possible.
Each size of the Volar Club is meticulously crafted to suit specific conditions. Larger models feature wider and longer outlines for enhanced balance and early planing in lighter winds, while smaller sizes boast a refined bottom curve for optimal control on rougher days. Our reimagined construction incorporates the latest materials and production technique with the unbeatable design elements from the previous generation—such as volume flow, overall length, and refined rocker profiles—resulting in a board that’s unbelievably easy to stand on when not planing, quicker to accelerate, and more responsive to your commands. Transition seamlessly from beginner to intermediate with confidence. Glide effortlessly in the lightest breeze, maintaining perfect trim and control from the footstraps. Construction.
Considerably more affordable, by using a wood sandwich build combined with multiple layers of unidirectional and biaxial glass on the deck and bottom, the Volar Club guarantees supreme durability, making it a favorite with windsurfing centers around the world. In addition, a high-grade epoxy resin creates an impact resistant outer skin. This combination means the Volar Club can take heavy beatings over an extended period of time, for example in school or rental scenarios. An integrated nose reinforcement is built into the layup.
Shape.
The Volar Club shares all the same shape details as the Volar Carbon and Volar Carbon Club but in a more affordable and rugged build, ideal for schools, centers and families.

Bottom
Refined Race-Derived Bottom: A blend of V and double concaves under the mast track (inspired by our race boards) breaks down chop for a smoother ride. The shallower V off the tail ensures clean water release and top-end speed. A new higher entry, paired with V and double concave through the midsection of the board, tapering to a faster, shallower V of the tail.
Deck
Domed Deck: Keeps your feet 100% connected and offers leverage over the rails, on the straight lines, or while jibing.

“Intermediate to advanced in one session. Start by setting the footstraps forward and more towards the center of the board. Place the strap screw in the side hole—not the center—and open the straps a bit wider than usual to make it easier to slip in. Once you’re comfortable trimming your ride from that position, you’ll quickly see the difference—and likely won’t want to go back. From there, you can gradually move the straps further back and closer to the rail, eventually using the center hole or even the opposite side hole to shift your stance fully over the rail. That’s exactly why advanced riders choose to ride there. Positioning your feet closer to the rail gives you greater control and allows you to engage the leeward rail and fin with much more efficiency. The result: faster speeds, longer sessions, and a smoother, more powerful ride with less effort.”

Yes, we have shipped to these locations for decades by quote. Please share your address, the item(s) you needed shipped, and if an airport cargo depot pickup is possible.
Canada and International Locations?
We ship to Canada lots, and the Caribbean some. Get a quote. We rarely ship items to Europe, Asia, and Australia as it's spendy. Quotes for international orders do not include import duties.
How Can I Be Sure My Board Arrives Intact?

What if My Board Arrives Damaged?
We'll work with our shipping partner to get you a repair credit or a replacement board. Please send photos of the damaged board (and box) to shipping@bigwinds.com.

But no foot straps, fins, or vent plug?
Look closely through the packaging. Fins, foot straps and vent plugs are often concealed in a sheath of cardboard that's easy to discard. Also, check inside the board box, and shake the box to be sure. You'll likely dislodge a small box containing the missing items.

We'll work with freight partners for the lowest possible rate. Delivery time is 7-10 business days. Quotes typically land in the $350 - $500 range, though Big Winds will often cover a portion of this fee. Get a quote.
International Board Delivery
Board shipping rates for most international destinations are extremely pricey. But we can ship boards to Canada for as low as $275 plus duties and taxes. We can also stow your board for an upcoming Gorge visit, and help with a board bag and packing materials to ensure it flies home with you safely.
