The Midfish board is our go-to assist board for all our favorite foiling disciplines, including prone, downwinding, wing foiling and flat water cruising.
OVERVIEW
It features a mid-length shape with a narrow outline, designed for powerful carves while maintaining total control. Thanks to its slim design, the connection to the foil is direct, offering an outstanding responsive feel. The low rocker contributes to a flatter surface area, providing greater stability while riding and making it easier to get up on the foil.
Constructed with full carbon and reinforced with PVC in the standing area, the Midfish Foilboard is both strong and stiff, while remaining lightweight. This stiffness provides optimal control and responsiveness from the foil, allowing for precise maneuvers.
The fishtail design not only enhances stability and provides extra push during takeoffs, but it also keeps the cable and leash securely in place and out of the way while foiling. The wider tail gives you offset foot placement.
The forward foil box position makes the board feel shorter and livelier on the foil, providing maximum maneuverability and a hyper-connected feel that allows you to easily navigate through tight turns and quick transitions.
The optimized volume distribution, along with a lowered front foot deck, enhances balance and ensures perfect pressure between the front and back foot, resulting in smooth, controlled touchdowns. The V-bottom concave improves comfort during landings, facilitates efficient takeoffs, and helps reduce energy consumption, making your rides more enjoyable.
On the Midfish 58L and 78L models, front footstrap inserts allow for both straight and V-strap setups, so you can choose the option that best suits your style.

OPTIMAL VOLUME DISTRIBUTION
Optimized volume distribution with a lowered front foot deck enhances balance, ensuring perfect pressure between the front and back foot for smooth, controlled touchdowns.
FOOTPAD
The footpad is designed for maximum performance: a kick-tail arch for extra support in waves, square-textured grip on the back foot, and a softer front pad for comfort and reduced abrasion. Its thin, high-density build ensures direct, responsive board control.
DOUBLE LEASH PLUG
A double leash plug has been installed to ensure it can withstand the forces exerted by the leash during a wipeout.
FISHTAIL DESIGN
The fishtail design improves stability and provides extra push during takeoffs while also keeping the cable and leash securely in place and out of the way while foiling.
CARBON CONSTRUCTION
The board comes in a full carbon construction with a PVC reinforcement in the standing area.
FORWARD FOIL BOX POSITION
The foil box placement is slightly forward, offering comfortable and balanced takeoffs while keeping the ride light and responsive.

Yes, we have shipped to these locations for decades by quote. Please share your address, the item(s) you needed shipped, and if an airport cargo depot pickup is possible.
Canada and International Locations?
We ship to Canada lots, and the Caribbean some. Get a quote. We rarely ship items to Europe, Asia, and Australia as it's spendy. Quotes for international orders do not include import duties.
How Can I Be Sure My Board Arrives Intact?

What if My Board Arrives Damaged?
We'll work with our shipping partner to get you a repair credit or a replacement board. Please send photos of the damaged board (and box) to shipping@bigwinds.com.

But no foot straps, fins, or vent plug?
Look closely through the packaging. Fins, foot straps and vent plugs are often concealed in a sheath of cardboard that's easy to discard. Also, check inside the board box, and shake the box to be sure. You'll likely dislodge a small box containing the missing items.

We'll work with freight partners for the lowest possible rate. Delivery time is 7-10 business days. Quotes typically land in the $350 - $500 range, though Big Winds will often cover a portion of this fee. Get a quote.
International Board Delivery
Board shipping rates for most international destinations are extremely pricey. But we can ship boards to Canada for as low as $275 plus duties and taxes. We can also stow your board for an upcoming Gorge visit, and help with a board bag and packing materials to ensure it flies home with you safely.
