OVERVIEW
The best SUP foiling paddle – The all new FoilX SUP foiling paddle is used for downwind, surf, and flat-water foiling by Hawaiian foiling pioneers, Andrew Gibbons, Gabriella Bella, Jack Ho, Finn Spencer, and Jeffrey Spencer. Featuring a low 9° blade angle and a low aspect ratio blade outline. The FoilX has a powerful catch, and the shorter blade promotes a higher paddlingfoilxnce. A shallow power scoop and reduced blade volume further encourages increased cadence and explosive paddling – helping you to get up onto foil with fewer paddle strokes. With increased area in the toe of the blade, a quick and shallow paddle stroke will give instant boost if necessary to keep you from dropping off foil between swells. The componentized system enables you to customize your FoilX to suit your paddling needs and replace parts as desired.

We don’t think you need to be an expert paddler to enjoy the benefits of a custom paddle. In fact, it’s why we offer the FoilX in five blade sizes and a range of shaft customization options to best suit your specific SUP foil needs. Choosing the right paddle might seem daunting at first, but don’t worry, we made it easy to identify which is the best option for your optimal paddling experience.
BLADE SIZES
The FoilX paddle sizing table below is a guide only. Actual choice will depend on several factors. On flat water go bigger, in windy conditions and small foils use a smaller blade for higher cadence, for surf a smaller blade is also good. Less experienced paddlers will benefit from a bigger blade whereas experienced paddlers will be able to use a smaller blade. Remember that we have already done the upsizing needed for foiling for you, select blade size based on weight.
SHAFTS OPTIONS
Selecting the correct shaft is a function of your paddle length and weight. A lower flex number relates to less flex and produces a stiffer paddle (lower flex rating). Heavier and taller paddlers will need a stiffer shaft whereas smaller and lighter paddlers need more flex (higher flex rating). Length affects stiffness, select based on your paddle height and weight. Stiffer is not always better, the right shaft for your weight and height, is the best shaft.

It can take 48 hours for tracking info to display. Rest assured, your package is en route. Make sure to enter the BOL # (Bill of Lading) with no spaces in the tracking field.
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico?
Yes, we have shipped to these locations for decades by quote. Please share your address, the item(s) you needed shipped, and if an airport cargo depot pickup is possible.
Canada and International Locations?
We ship to Canada lots, and the Caribbean some. Get a quote. We rarely ship items to Europe, Asia, and Australia as it's spendy. Quotes for international orders do not include import duties.
How Can I Be Sure My Board Arrives Intact?
Opt for our $99 "To Nearby Airport" shipping option at checkout. It relies on passenger planes, and offers our safest delivery. More far below.
What if My Board Arrives Damaged?
We'll work with our shipping partner to get you a repair credit or a replacement board. Please send photos of the damaged board (and box) to shipping@bigwinds.com.

But no foot straps, fins, or vent plug?
Look closely through the packaging. Fins, foot straps and vent plugs are often concealed in a sheath of cardboard that's easy to discard. Also, check inside the board box, and shake the box to be sure. You'll likely dislodge a small box containing the missing items.

We'll work with freight partners for the lowest possible rate. Delivery time is 7-10 business days. Quotes typically land in the $350 - $500 range, though Big Winds will often cover a portion of this fee. Get a quote.
International Board Delivery
Board shipping rates for most international destinations are extremely pricey. But we can ship boards to Canada for as low as $275 plus duties and taxes. We can also stow your board for an upcoming Gorge visit, and help with a board bag and packing materials to ensure it flies home with you safely.
