WHERE IS MY LESSON OR KIDS CAMP?
The Hook, which is a protected lagoon ideal for learning. Click HERE for a Google Maps link.
For lessons, look for the white/red Big Winds bread truck at the far western corner of the lagoon.
For Kids Camps, just before the Big Winds site, look for a green shed. You will see instructors in bright jerseys!
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY LESSON OR KIDS CAMP?
Arrive 20-30 minutes before your Lesson and 15 minutes before Kids Camp to find parking and get sized for wetsuits, booties, and gear.
Lesson times are 11 am and 2 pm.
Morning Kids Camps run from 10 am to 1 pm. Afternoon sessions run from 2 pm to 5 pm.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
WHAT’S PROVIDED?
Bring: Swimsuit, sunscreen, water and towel.
Provided: Wetsuits, booties, PFDs, helmets, and gear for lessons and camps.
WHAT IF THERE’S NO WIND?
We offer a full refund or we reschedule your lesson.
If winds no show, we notify you at least 30 minutes before your class to arrange a refund or to reschedule.
First timer windsurf and wing lessons generally require minimum wind speeds of 8-10 mph.
Intermediate classes require average wind speeds of 15 mph or more.
Kids Camps: We allow one, no-wind play day on the water. If a second no-wind day occurs, we cancel that day’s camp and reschedule to Friday.
Advance Kids Camps: If a no-wind day occurs, we cancel that day’s camp and reschedule to Friday.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
Lessons: Cancellations with 48 hours notice result in a full refund. Short notice cancellations (within 48 hour window) receive a 50% refund. No Shows do not receive a refund.
Kids Camps: Cancellations with at least 1 week notice receive a full refund. Cancellations within a week of the first day of camp receive a 50% refund. No Shows will not receive a refund.
YES, YOU MUST SIGN A WAIVER
We provide waivers on location at The Hook, or click the link below.
For children under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must be present to sign their child’s waiver. If a parent or legal guardian won’t be present, parents must sign the waiver and send it with their child. Children will not be allowed to participate without a signed waiver.
