KT Vortex Pro Carbon Foil Board 2026
$2,380.00 – $2,404.00Price range: $2,380.00 through $2,404.00
Ultra compact wing board that prioritizes freestyle, with fast rebound, re-pop, and minimal swing weight, while staying stable and intuitive for riders who want the shortest platform possible.
Vortex
Pro Carbon.
Freestyle & Freeride Wing Foiling, Big Air, Powered Riding.
The Vortex is built around minimal swing weight, rebound and recovery after landings. When you are jumping, your board needs to touch down, deflect, and get back toward flight without sticking or sinking. That skipping stone release is the core of the Vortex feel. A compact outline reduces swing weight so rotations come around faster, and the board feels easy to move through the air. Volume is packed into a short platform to keep starts and resets manageable and doesn’t feel overly dedicated to purely jumping. Underneath, the bottom and tail are tuned for instant water separation. Land, release, rebound, and accelerate back to foil.
Colors: Available in Marble Yellow with Black logos. Ultra-light high-durability thin enamel paint finish, for lighter weight and improved sealing.

DESCRIPTION
The Vortex is for riders who want the shortest and most compact wing board shape in good winds, with a feel that makes freestyle progression easier, but still works as a daily board for intermediate and experienced riders.
Compact length reduces swing weight for faster spins, easier rotations, and higher boosts. The platform stays stable and confidence inspiring during starts, while the bottom, tail, and rail release are tuned to handle repeat touchdowns with rapid rebounds. The result is a board that encourages you to strap up and to send it!
FEATURES
Nathan Berger.

Vent Plug.

HIGHLIGHTS
Feeling.
The Vortex feels compact, stable, and instantly reactive. The short outline minimizes rotational weight, making spins, transitions, and midair corrections easier. Once flying it feels direct and connected, especially when loading the foil for pop or pushing through hard carve and slides. On touchdowns, the board is tuned to deflect and rebound rather than stick or track. That makes landings feel more predictable, recoveries faster, and surface contact less punishing when you are pushing progression.
Speed.
The Vortex accelerates quickly through a longer, flatter planning zone around the foil connection, helping maintain speed, and reconnecting after landings. Clean tail release reduces drag and is designed to skip off the surface. On jump landings, the tail and release edges are designed for instant deflection so the board sheds water quickly and rebounds back toward flight since this is a much shorter and wider board and more high wind oriented compared to the Drifter, Arc, and Super K2 range.
Agility.
Very high agility by design. Short length and minimal swing weight make the board easy to rotate, redirect, and correct mid air, while staying responsive and composed once you reconnect with the water.

Shape.
Ultra compact outline with volume packed into a short platform to reduce swing weight. Wide point placement supports balanced stance and confidence during starts and landings, while keeping overall length minimal for rotations and quick direction changes. Aero nose helps with kneeling and getting started while also slightly thinning out the standing area for a more direct feel.

Bottom.
• Double concave blending into a flatter, longer planing surface through the foil connection to improve glide efficiency and offer stability.
• The bottom is tuned for softer landings and predictable rebound, with clean water separation that supports skipping on faster landings.

Rocker.
• Freestyle tuned rocker focused on deflection and recovery.
• More nose rocker helps prevent sticking during landing, while a flatter section through the foil connection preserves acceleration and takeoff efficiency.
• Tail rocker and tail release work together to help to generate massive pop and rebound quickly after landings.

Rails.
• Softer, rounder rail shaping forward into the aero nose reduces sticking and makes touchdowns feel less sudden.
• Rails transition into cleaner release edges and beveled clearance zones through the mid to tail for more control on landings and fewer hang ups.
• Boxier rails in the tail for a more supported feel underfoot and added stability when landing massive boosts.

Construction.
Pro Carbon construction prioritizes stiffness and strength at minimal weight. An extra lightweight EPS core is wrapped in a full carbon high density exoskeleton and finished with biaxial and unidirectional carbon in a high density combo for rigidity and impact resistance. Reinforced zones support repeated jump impacts and long term landing durability.

But no foot straps, fins, or vent plug?
Look closely through the packaging. Fins, foot straps and vent plugs are often concealed in a sheath of cardboard that's easy to discard. Also, check inside the board box, and shake the box to be sure. You'll likely dislodge a small box containing the missing items.
