The Starboard SUP Windsurfing sail package is light, powerful and designed specifically for paddleboards, but is also an excellent choice for entry level windsurfers because of its versatility and durability. It comes with neatly packed in its bag, allowing for easy transportation and storage.
THE COMPACT
4.5, 5.5, 6.5: The compact version of the sail package. With its four-piece mast and three-piece boom, everything collapses into a small bag that’s convenient to carry and store. Improved sail design with a longer second batten, stiffer boom clamp and a more durable universal joint.
UPGRADED BOOM HEAD
The boom head clamp has been redesigned for a better fit around the mast, thus requiring less pressure to grip. The lever is also slightly longer, stiffer and more ergonomic to allow riders of all ages and sizes to close the boom head easily.
BOOM CLIP WITH DOUBLE PINS
The boom clips with double pins are secure and durable. The boom end uses a loop-n-go system. Loop the rope through the sail and onto the hook. Pull the end and lock it in. Just like on the extension, correct settings for light wind and high wind conditions are marked on the boom adjustment holes to make rigging easy.
RDM MAST
The Classic uses a two-piece reduced diameter 20% carbon mast and the Compact uses a four-piece reduce diameter carbon mast. The RDM masts are more reliable and make the sails feel smooth and light on the water.
R+SDM EXTENSION
With the adapter collar, you get an SDM extension. Remove the adapter collar and you have an RDM extension: 2 in 1. The top adapter collar is a screw cap so it won’t get lost. This external lever clicks on in a snap: great for those who want to be able to release the rig from the mast foot and board without getting sore thumbs. The R+SDM aluminium extension is included for the Compact and Classic 4.5, 5.5 and 6.5 m2.
HOOK PULLEY
The downhaul 3-roller hook pulley makes downhauling hassle-free. Downhaul line comes connected to the hook pulley for even faster and simple rigging. Just hook it to the grommet and downhaul all the way.
MECHANICAL BASE
The mechanical universal joint is great for inflatable boards as it puts less stress than a conventional rubber joint on the board when the sail is lying flat in the water. * Product is not included in the package
WINDSURFING COMPLETE RIG-BAG
The Starboard SUP WINDSURFING Sail come with a bag made of an RPET 450D outer fabric layer made from recycled plastic bottles, in partnership with Waste2Wear. The bottles are chopped into flakes, washed, melted and extruded into yarns and then spun into a fabric. Between 30 to 50 bottles are used per bag. Bottles that now re-enter the market again, without risk of polluting the environment. Ripstop weaving technology improves wear and tear resistance. The SUP WINDSURFING Compact bag is just 120 cm long

Tracking info is shared via email within 72 hours of most orders being placed. Be sure to check spam or "Promotions" folder in your Inbox, as sometimes our messages land there.

It can take 48 hours for tracking info to display. Rest assured, your package is en route. Make sure to enter the BOL # (Bill of Lading) with no spaces in the tracking field.
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico?
Yes, we have shipped to these locations for decades by quote. Please share your address, the item(s) you needed shipped, and if an airport cargo depot pickup is possible.
Canada and International Locations?
We ship to Canada lots, and the Caribbean some. Get a quote. We rarely ship items to Europe, Asia, and Australia as it's spendy. Quotes for international orders do not include import duties.
How Can I Be Sure My Board Arrives Intact?
Opt for our $99 "To Nearby Airport" shipping option at checkout. It relies on passenger planes, and offers our safest delivery. More far below.
What if My Board Arrives Damaged?
We'll work with our shipping partner to get you a repair credit or a replacement board. Please send photos of the damaged board (and box) to shipping@bigwinds.com.

But no foot straps, fins, or vent plug?
Look closely through the packaging. Fins, foot straps and vent plugs are often concealed in a sheath of cardboard that's easy to discard. Also, check inside the board box, and shake the box to be sure. You'll likely dislodge a small box containing the missing items.

We'll work with freight partners for the lowest possible rate. Delivery time is 7-10 business days. Quotes typically land in the $350 - $500 range, though Big Winds will often cover a portion of this fee. Get a quote.
International Board Delivery
Board shipping rates for most international destinations are extremely pricey. But we can ship boards to Canada for as low as $275 plus duties and taxes. We can also stow your board for an upcoming Gorge visit, and help with a board bag and packing materials to ensure it flies home with you safely.
