ALL STAR AIRLINE
The All Star boards with Airline technology are now faster than ever, since they now share the outline of the most-winning All Star hard board. The tensioned aramid cable running over the hull’s bottom is covered by a new carbon stringer that increases both the stiffness and reflex
sensation of the board. Woven Fusion dropstitch technology maintains the board at its lightweight. The cutting edge standing tray is another innovation securing stability, control and comfort, while the edge release technology reduces drag by creating a laminar flow behind the board.
A RACE BOARD THAT WINS RACES AND IS EASY TO TRANSPORT
WELDED RAIL TECHNOLOGY
- Every Starboard inflatable paddle board features welded rails.
- The Welded Rail Technology creates a complete airtight, mechanically bonded seam without the risk of glue weakening over time. This makes Starboard inflatable paddle boards stronger and longer lasting
PATENTED AIRLINE TECHNOLOGY
- The free-flowing aramid cable locks the board in shape when inflated, creating a solid trustworthy hull sensation.
- The patented Airline Technology utilises a pre-set free-floating cable. It is attached to the nose, goes under the bottom and ends at the fin box. The preset cable is slightly shorter than the board so, when the board inflates, the cable comes under tension and stiffens the board significantly. We measured 1.8 cm less hull deflection in testing and World Champion Connor Baxter swears by it.
14’0″ x 28″ ALL STAR DOWNWIND
Length: 14’0″ / 426.7 cm Width: 28″ / 71.1 cm Ideal if you want to paddle downwind and still have the practicality of an inflatable board. The curved rocker with raised nose kick prevents you from sinking the nose when connecting bumps. The 28” width combined with the EVA standing tray offer you extra stability and control in choppy conditions.
DELUXE CONSTRUCTION
STIFFER, LIGHTER, MORE RESPONSIVE
- The Fusion Woven dropstitch makes the Deluxe boards extra strong and stiff.
- The Heat Welded rails create a complete airtight, mechanically bonded seam without the risk of glue weakening over time. Making the board stronger and last longer.
- Galvanized 2000D rails increase strength and stiffness.
Travis Richards –
After years of riding hard boards including a Starboard All Star and Naish Glide, both purchased at Big Winds, I decided it was time to try and inflatable performance board that would be easier to transport.
After speaking with TJ I decided on the Starboard All Star Airline and I have not been disappointed. First off it is super easy to transport as it comes in a huge backpack that has wheels. The entire board, fin, accessories and pump fit in this bag that you can easily carry as a backpack or pull along like luggage due to it’s wheels. The days of messing around putting a board on the rack are over and now I don’t even want to mess with my hard boards because this thing is so easy to transport.
While being easy to transport a key feature that really blew me away was how fast and stiff this board is for being an inflatable. I actually use my Garmin Fenix watch to track my paddles and found this board was typically faster or distance on average than my Naish Glide and really not that much slower than my hard All Star. It is pretty amazing Starboard could build an inflatable that performs this well. It really is stiff and glides through the water. I weigh about 225lbs and this thing barely flexes with me on it once inflated all the way due to it’s carbon stringers and cable tension adjuster.
The build quality is top notch as well. It feels bomb proof and the deck pad is as nice as I have seen on any board and even has a tail kick pad. The race handles, Starboard fin, bungee tie down, FCS Insert, Tiki Pump and backpack that it comes with makes this an even better deal as it has every thing you will need all in one ready to go package.
Thanks as always to the crew at Big Winds for pointing me in the right direction and hooking me up with yet another great SUP Board.
