The Super Hero blends exceptional handling with a lightweight build that doesn’t compromise durability. It is Duotone’s most versatile wave sail in both wind range and the riders it targets. Lightweights, heavyweights, high winds or marginal, the Super Hero elevates rider confidence, and elongates sessions. Its power delivery, centered between a rider’s hands, is instantly trustable, which encourages a relaxed riding grip on the boom that saves energy and boosts progression and fun.

The Duotone Super Hero is PWA Wave triple world Champion Victor Fernadez’s sail of choice. He competes with it in all locations. The sail’s balanced draft position, and light-done-right construction delivers the responsiveness of a 3-batten sail in drift-and-go conditions, and the planing power needed for onshore conditions. The Super Hero planes early, offers incredible drive on a wave, but remains stable throughout thanks to its centered draft position.

For 2023, the Super Hero received a visual facelift. It is technically unchanged from the 2022 model, which featured a modified panel layout, and a new mast sleeve construction that reduced sail weight by 200 to 300 grams. Unlike Duotone rivals, the fabric and film thickness in the Super Hero has not been reduced to save weight. That’s the magic of “light-done-right” construction: weight savings without compromising durability.

Every single size of the Super Hero has been tuned down to the last detail. The batten rotation is buttery smooth even with minimal outhaul. The head of the sail works actively, swallowing hards gusts to boost acceleration. The elastic one-piece mast sleeve and modified profile are extremely efficient. With the Super Hero, you can confidently choose a smaller size than many other wave sails.

HTS 2.0 HARNESS LINE TRIM SYSTEM

No more harness line guesswork. The patented print on the sail shows exactly where the center of the harness line has to be. All you need to do is position the two harness line straps symmetrically to the left and right of the print.

VTS VISUAL TRIM SYSTEM 2.0

Perfect trim in a matter of seconds with 100% accuracy. Simply downhaul the sail until the loose leech reaches the “lower wind limit” or “upper wind limit” printed indicators. The VTS ensures maximum performance and broader range of use.

INDIVIDUAL BOOM LENGTH INDICATION

The correct boom length can be tricky, as boom length settings vary depending on a rider’s boom height preference. We’ve printed specific boom length recommendations on the luff sleeve. Whether you ride with a high or low boom, you’ll rig right!

TT TOP

Designer Kai Hopf originally designed the TT Top for the Warp race sail. This innovative top twists horizontally and vertically in strong winds, which completely neutralizes gusts. The result is a steady rig in the rider’s hands that improves sail range and riding confidence.

X.PLY PLUS

After extensive testing, we developed the ideal combination of film thickness and number of threads. Our X.Ply Plus, at 150 microns in thickness, boasts durability characteristics far in excess of previous laminates at minimal weight. The answer varies through models and sizes, but you can generally expect…

80-90% compatibility with RDM masts from Ezzy, Goya, Naish, Neil Pryde, NoLimitz, S2 Maui, Sailworks, and Severne (from 2014 on).

70-80% compatibility with Hot Sails Maui, Simmer Style, and Chinook RDM masts.

No compatibility with Gaastra (up to 2016), Maui Sails, and Severne (up to 2013) RDM masts.

Canada and International Locations?

We ship to Canada lots, and the Caribbean some. Get a quote. We rarely ship items to Europe, Asia, and Australia as it's spendy. Quotes for international orders do not include import duties.

What if My Board Arrives Damaged?

But no foot straps, fins, or vent plug?

Look closely through the packaging. Fins, foot straps and vent plugs are often concealed in a sheath of cardboard that's easy to discard. Also, check inside the board box, and shake the box to be sure. You'll likely dislodge a small box containing the missing items.

International Board Delivery

Board shipping rates for most international destinations are extremely pricey. But we can ship boards to Canada for as low as $275 plus duties and taxes. We can also stow your board for an upcoming Gorge visit, and help with a board bag and packing materials to ensure it flies home with you safely.
